Equipment effectively

In the modern production environment, with the increase in the degree of automation, the failure of production equipment and facilities has become an important factor affecting manufacturing costs.

Only by fully identifying the causes of plant downtime can the availability and efficiency of the plant be increased.

A large number of practical statistics show that unplanned equipment downtime accounts for 10~15% of the waste of production resources, and the average load of equipment capacity is often less than 60%. Traditional methods of manually recording equipment events are not only time-consuming, but also lack systematization.

HYDRA MDE provides you with a convenient and practical tool to easily collect machine data and evaluate plant performance according to predetermined rules, helping you to effectively analyze the causes of plant downtime and significantly improve plant availability and overall machine efficiency.

Manual data collection

The shop floor operator manually reports the status of the equipment using the fault button or a suitable terminal:

Record changes in the status of equipment/facilities such as setup, start-up, and production;

Organizational downtime (e.g. no work orders or lack of materials);

•  Technical downtime (e.g. tool failure, electrical or mechanical failure).

Automatic data acquisition

The number, distance, and fault signals are automatically collected via the digital output of the device's sensor interface. HYDRA MDE also provides a user interface to communicate with the machine and control system, saving and displaying the acquired data, including quantity, machine status and downtime. HYDRA supports a wide range of common communication protocols such as Euromap 63, OPC, XML, ProfiBus.

Device monitoring

HDYRA MDE monitors the status of the equipment in real time and reflects the occurrence of events in a timely manner:

•  The current status, number, and time of the event

•  Graphical workshop equipment layout to monitor the real-time status of equipment;

Master data setup and management

Define what data is collected from which device and in what format, with what rules the collected data is calculated, and in what way the device information is presented:

Device master data setup and management;

Set up shift schedules and plant calendars

Define equipment status, performance accounts, and reasons for downtime

Data collection and posting rules

Preventive maintenance and defined maintenance rates.

Device monitoring

HDYRA MDE monitors the status of the equipment in real time and reflects the occurrence of events in a timely manner:

•  The current status, number, and time of the event

•  Graphical workshop equipment layout to monitor the real-time status of equipment;

Monitor the working cycle of the equipment;

Online equipment maintenance calendar, alarm function can be integrated;

Can be integrated with a mobile phone or Internet browser to monitor device status

Early warning event management, which can use SMS or email to deliver information to relevant personnel in a timely manner.

Statistical analysis

HYDRA MDE performs a statistical analysis of the equipment performance data and presents KPIs:

Evaluate downtime and fault categories;

Detailed analysis of the ratio of production time to downtime for each piece of equipment;

Specific evaluations for production lines or combination centers;

Calculate the efficiency of the whole machine;

Long-term archiving of data by device, group of equipment, or cost center

Provides time- and volume-based efficiency reporting;

Graphical device cycle reporting

Calculate different key metrics such as OEE (Overall Machine Effectiveness), TPI (Total Production Indicator), MCE (Manufacturing Cycle Efficiency);

Long-term storage of data.
